The Southwest Jewish Congress is a regional organization, formed to expand the vital vision of advocacy and community educational programs in the Southwest, with regards to Constitutional guarantees and support for Israel.

Community leaders throughout the region, both veteran activists and people never before involved in advocacy organizations, came together with a dream and a pledge to be as strong a voice as ever in continuing to monitor and protect the freedoms and liberties granted to all by the US Constitution.

We have a vibrant membership throughout the Southwest, committed to standing in the forefront of equality and opportunity for all, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity or faith.

Celebrating diversity and tolerance, SWJC remains vigilant and in strong opposition to any forms of religion-based radicalism and terrorism, antisemitism, racism and other hate behaviors. We work to eradicate these behaviors and their viral communication, through distortions and bias, in public/mass media and the Internet.

SWJC strongly supports, and advocates for, the security and stability of Israel - the only democracy in the Middle East and America's strongest and most reliable ally in that region.

We are dedicated to educating the public about the dynamics and complexities of the Middle East through ongoing community briefings, college lectures, electronic and print media outreach and joint programs with like-minded organizations.

Our Core Agenda

1. Defending civil and religious rights and liberties.
2. Maintaining the Constitutional principle of separation of religion and government.
3. Advancing social and economic justice, women’s equality, educational excellence and human rights, across all age groups.
4. Celebrating cultural and interfaith diversity and promoting harmony in our society.
5. Opposing religion based radicalism and terrorism, anti-Semitism, racism and other hate behaviors, and their communication through distortions and bias in public/mass media and the Internet.
6. Strengthening national security in regard to energy through promoting reduced oil consumption, conservation, and identifying and supporting smart energy policies.
7. Supporting the security of the State of Israel, and its search for peaceful and prosperous relations with its neighbors in the Middle East and countries around the world.
